Model-Based SOA

aras model based SOA architectureInstead of the traditional approach - defining an object model which is hard coded into the services - Aras chose to separate the two.  The result is a run-time web application framework consisting of loosely coupled / federated web services optimized for performance and scalability which form a service-oriented architecture (SOA) - the  Platform.

Aras then use meta-data templates to describe everything: application functionality, business logic, data schema, screens, workflows, etc.. The meta-data templates define the objects in the system and those objects then "subscribe" to the services that they need.  Aras call this a "model-based SOA" and it is the basis for creating flexible, scalable, upgradable applications.

The Aras Model-Based Service Oriented Architecture enables the rapid implementation of solutions either from scratch or starting with defined industry templates thus driving significantly faster enterprise deployments.  Forms, workflows, relationships structures, and data model schema can all be tailored and configured in real-time at a business level.
